Subiaco has a proud history of Subiaco Lion players going on to experience success in the AFL system.

 

From the Eagles, to Geelong, Brisbane, Richmond and Sydney, former Lions players continue to make an impact in the AFL.

Reserved with Matt Cavedon - Round Seven

The Subiaco Reserves side currently sit in sixth position on the ladder with two wins and three losses.

 

Last time out, the Reserves side led for the best part of three quarters but fell away late against West Perth, this came after a strong win over Reserves front running side Claremont under lights on a Friday night.

Subiaco have big impact in State Win

Subiaco played a big influence as WA won their sixth consecutive state league contest beating SA by 26 points in an absorbing state league contest in Adelaide on Saturday.

 

WA made a slow start in enemy territory as SA jumped from the blocks kicking four goals to nil in an opening quarter where WA wasted a number of opportunities.

8 Lions to Play for WA this Saturday

Subiaco is delighted to announce that they will have a league best eight representatives in the 2018 WAFL State Game when West Australia take on South Australia this Saturday at Adelaide Oval.

 

Kyal Horsley, Lachlan Delahunty, Aaron Heal, Angus Litherland, Leigh Kitchin, Chris Phelan, Brad Stevenson and Rhys Waters were all named in the final 23 man squad announced by the WAFL today.

Colts & Reserves Fall in Round 6

It was a tough start to the day in Round 6 of the 2018 WAFL season for Subiaco as both the colts and reserves sides dropped games to West Perth.

 

The loss by the reserves was particularly disappointing given that the Lions led most of the day, only to be overrun late by a charging West Perth side.

Subiaco win emotional encounter over West Perth

Subiaco made it five straight wins to start 2018 as they overcame an emotional occasion, a slow start and a plucky West Perth to record a hard fought 22 point win.

 

Subiaco trailed by 10 points at quarter time and took until just before half time to hit the lead, but maintained a slight advantage throughout the second half eventually pulling away to win.
