Neil Arnold - New Development OfficerSubiaco Welcomes New Development Officer
The Subiaco Football Club & the District Football Development Council has great pleasure in introducing Neil Arnold, our new Development Officer. Neil has had a life long involvement as a player and coach and he has the added credentials of a strong football administration background. He brings a wealth of experience to the District.
Professionally, Neil graduated in 2001 from Edith Cowan University with a Bachelor of Education with a specialization in Health and Physical Education. He taught in wheatbelt from 2002 – 2006, in District High Schools in Primary and Secondary roles and was the School Sports Specialist. From 2007 – 2011 he taught as a Physical Education Specialist at a Primary School in the Western Suburbs and he has been a part of the AFL Schools Ambassador program since 2007.
Neil was born in the country and cut his teeth playing both junior and senior football for Bruce Rock in the powerful Eastern Districts Football League. On moving to Perth he played with Wembley Amateurs and undertook various assistant coaching roles and he coached Wembley's A Grade Colts team for several seasons. He continued to play until 2006 when serious injury forced him to retire.
