Horsley skips on

Subiaco has announced their leadership group with Kyal Horsley returning as captain for a fourth year.

Horsley took the reins from Aidan Parker in 2014 and his Lions side has featured in three Grand Finals and won two since that change-over.

The ex-Gold Coast Sun has looked red hot this pre-season and will be a big figure on and off the field for the Lions in 2017.

Midfield maestro Leigh Kitchin will assume the role of vice-captain alongside Horsley.

Two new faces join the leadership group with gutsy defender Joel Latham and midfielder Justin Joyce added to the mix.

Latham had an excellent season in 2016 and finished 5th in the Outridge Medal for the Lions fairest & best. Joyce had a frustrating year with injury but has clearly set a high standard in his recovery and pre-season to be elevated into the SFC leadership group.

Outridge medallist Chris Phelan, half-back Jordan Lockyer, Lachlan Delahunty and Wayde Twomey round out a well-balanced group of leaders.
