SFC 2016: Sandover Medal

Chris Phelan has led the Subiaco vote-winners at the Sandover Medal with 27 votes.

Phelan led the Lions with 493 disposals over 20 games and was acknowledged by the umpires for his impressive season.
Star forward Liam Ryan polled the second best for the Lions with 19 votes. Ryan played every game after his debut in Round 8 and kicked 35 goals from 14 games. 

Vice-captain Leigh Kitchin and leading goal-kicker Hamish Shepheard tied for third with 17 votes. The two veterans had standout seasons in their own right. 

Jack of all trades Clancy Wheeler polled the fourth highest for Subiaco with 15 votes. Wheeler played 20 games collecting 329 disposals, 178 hit-outs and 21 goals over the 2016 season. 
Dual premiership star Lachlan Delahunty also polled well early before injury sidetracked his season. Delahunty was tied for the lead after seven rounds.
