Subiaco’s International Round guernseys have a new home for the season and have been donated to the Metro District.
The jumpers worn in Round Three v West Perth were funded by the WAFC to encourage community ties and Lions District Officer Callum Warner was happy to see them go to a good home.
“It’s great to be able to support our District clubs’ and reinforce that we’re all a part of the same development pathway,
“These jerseys were designed by the youth of our District and now they’re being worn by young players from our District.” Said Warner
The jersey was created in promotion for International Round (Round Three) and were designed by youth from the Edmund Rice Centre Mirrabooka.
When their original purpose was completed on April 2, the jerseys were then used to help out District clubs Warwick-Greenwood and Sorrento-Duncraig.
“The WGJFC combined a side with Sorrento-Duncraig so the neutral strip was perfect in making sure these players had everything necessary to compete in the metro competition this season,
“Maintaining these sorts of relationships with the Subiaco Football Club and our District clubs is crucial and we will endeavor to continue them.” Added Warner
