The Lions made it to the Nicky Winmar Cup Grand Final and despite losing the penultimate game; six players were invited to the WA U15’s selection camp.

Two of the boys, Christian Miller-Sabbioni and Levi Duyckers, were offered the opportunity to represent Western Australia at the U15’s Carnival in Townsville; a National meet where the Black Swans went undefeated.
Christian Miller-Sabbioni was also recognised for his abilities as a play making back-man and was selected for the All Australian Boomerangs squad, which will compete at the U16’S National Carnival later this year.
“It was great to see Christian recognised further for his hard work. He’s also the grandson of ex-SFC football manager Jeff Lind so it’s nice to continue family connections with the Subiaco Football Club.” Said Cockie
Adam Cockie took the Community Engagement role in January when he returned from Melbourne to play for Subi and he’s excited with the programs’ results in such a short time.
