Vidovich for Football Manager

The Subiaco Football Club is excited to announce Daniel Vidovich as Football Operations Manager for the 2016 season.

Vidovich fills the void left by Luke Sanders who departed for the West Australian Football Commission after 16 years with the club.

32-year-old Vidovich has a wealth of experience from the South Fremantle Football Club and is excited to take the reigns at Subiaco.

“I’m ecstatic with the chance to fill this role at Subiaco. It’s a strong WAFL club with a strong culture and 2016 offers exciting possibilities,

“I had the opportunity to become the Football Operations Manager previously at South Fremantle but the timing didn’t feel right because I was still new to the talent development roll.”

After working as Subiaco’s District Officer for four months last year I was delighted to be offered this role.” Said Vidovich

Vidovich was a coach & staff member of the South Fremantle Football Club whilst playing for the Bulldogs. Vidovich managed nine senior games before injury led him to focus on his career.

“I was involved with South as a player originally but was always interested in coaching and talent management. I operated the development system at the Bulldogs from 2010 – 2014 before moving to Subi,

“I was allocated as Subiaco’s District Manager late in 2015 before I was offered the Football Operations Manager role at the end of the year.” Added Vidovich

Vidovich old has an eye for talent and list development and believes Subiaco’s strength lies within their ability to adapt.

“The biggest strength of Subiaco’s playing list is its depth. There has been an ability to fill the void of the drafted and retiring players in recent years and we’re determined to continue this trend,

“The loss of guys like Shane Yarran, Sam Menegola and Darren Rumble have left significant roles to fill but I’m confident we have the depth to maintain Subiaco’s high standards on the field.” Added Vidovich

With pre-season fixtures only a month away, Subiaco’s staff is also focused on tuning up the playing list.

“We are still managing a few long-term injuries from 2015 with Brad Stevenson, Frank Stockley and Matt Panizza returning from long-term knee injuries,

“Premiership midfielder Brett Robinson is also on the rebound from a repaired plantar fascia injury, which he incurred early last year.

“Strength and conditioning coordinator Dan Hiscock is working really hard and we expect to have all of these players ready to make an impact in 2016.” Added Vidovich
