SFC 2015: Player Reviews 56-34

#56 GREGORY CLARK

Greg Clark was one of Subiaco’s most impressive young players in 2015 which was emphasised with his performances at the NAB State Nationals. Clark was selected to captain West Australia into the National meet and displayed maturity and poise as a leader. Clark played ten reserves and two league games and is expected to be taken in the 2015 AFL National Draft.

#52 BRADEN FIMMANO

Braden Fimmano played league football early before starring in the reserves. Fimmano moved from South Fremantle in the off-season and has elite foot skills and good football instincts. Fimmano finished third in the Blakemore Medal for reserves fairest and best.

#50 DECLAN JACKSON

Declan Jackson is a big defender who is ready for league level. Jackson has been honing his craft in the reserves whilst steadily gathering nine league games. Jackson was also awarded with the Newton Screaigh Memorial Award alongside Charlie Le Fanu. With the retirement of Darren Rumble head coach Jarrad Schofield will be looking to Jackson to earn the fullback position.

#42 DAVID MADUT

Dave Madut showed incredible growth in the ruck position for the Lions early before injury de-railed his season. The Sudanese born ruck man gathered 300 hit-outs over the first 13 games before succumbing to injury. Madut displayed his impressive athletic ability in 2015 and at 22 he’s definitely a player to look out for.

#40 CHRIS BRYAN

Chris Bryan is a young halfback developing at a rapid rate. Bryan was elevated from the colts system last year and made his debut for the Lions league side in the season opener. The 20 year old played four league games and will look to break into the fold next year.

#39 JOEL LATHAM

Joel Latham had a few shining performances this year but failed to reach the heights of his 2014 campaign. Latham played 16 games but struggled to maintain consistency as a midfielder/defender. The 23 year will decide on his future at the club in the off-season.

#36 AARON HEAL

Aaron Heal became an important part of Subiaco’s defence in 2015 playing 16 games. Heal combined well with the Lions defender group and was rewarded for his hard work with a WAFL premiership.

#35 KYLE HALLIGAN

Kyle Halligan displayed stellar early form for the reserves before being elevated into the league side in Round Eight. From there Halligan flourished, kicking 32 goals including two in the WAFL Grand Final. The silky forward has a great goal sense and a knack for taking big marks.

#34 TOMMY SMITH

Tommy Smith was impressive in his limited appearances and will look to get his body right for 2016. Smith is a well-built midfielder with a fierce presence around stoppages.
