20 facts for WAFL Grand Final 131

On the eve of the penultimate battle between Subiaco and West Perth we decided to dig up some interesting facts on season 2015 and WAFL Grand Final 131. 




Captain Kyal Horsley will lead Subi into his second Grand Final as captain, his fourth overall.  
It will be head-coach Jarrad Schofield's second WAFL Grand Final in charge of the Lions. Schofield won the JJ Leonard Medal in 2015 for best WAFL coach.  
Subiaco and West Perth have met three times this year. The Lions have won two out of three including the 2nd Semi Final.

It will be vice-captain Darren Rumble's 7th WAFL Grand Final appearance equalling Lions champion Ali Pickett.

Brett Robinson played 18 games in 2015 despite tearing his                 plantar fascia (foot) in Round 12. It will also be his 11th WAFL final in total. 
The amount of premierships Subiaco has won. Also the amount of players to win a Sandover Medal whilst playing for the club.  
The amount of wins the West Perth Football Club recorded in 2015. The Falcons were one of three clubs to manage a win over the Lions this season. 
The amount of goals Bernie Naylor medallist Shane Yarran kicked in the first three games of the 2015 season. 
Chris Phelan was one of the best on ground in Subiaco's 2014 Premiership and re-affirmed himself as one of the premier WAFL midfielders this season. Phelan is expected to have a big impact on WAFL Grand Final 131. 
Scott Hancock has played every game for Subiaco since making the move from East Fremantle over the off-season. He's one of four (Kitchin, Phelan & Lockyer)
The amount of goals Subiaco put past West Perth in the 2nd Semi Final two weeks ago at Medibank Stadium. 
West Perth captain Jay Van Berlo #18 will be playing in his second WAFL Grand Final, first as captain.
