Subi in September

This year the WAFL finals series will have a different structure with five teams competing in September.

The top five creates an extra round of finals and gives the first placed Lions a bye in the first week.
The WAFL clubs voted last year to introduce a top five in 2015, and with one of the closest seasons in WAFL history currently underway, the top 5 on the ladder may not be finalised until the eve of the finals.
The WAFL has only ever played with a top 5 during four seasons, from 1991 to 1994, when Claremont and East Fremantle each won two flags.
The format was abandoned in 1995 after the fifth-placed team lost more qualifying matches than it won in three of those four seasons, however East Perth in 1992 and Subiaco in 1993 still advanced to the preliminary final.
No team has won the premiership from the first semifinal since Swan Districts in 1983.

Subiaco will play the winner of the Qualifying Final between West Perth (2) and Peel Thunder (3). The Lions will play the victor in a Semi Final on the 13th of September at Medibank Stadium.

If Subiaco win the 2nd Semi Final they automatically book a place in the 2015 WAFL Grand Final. If they lose they would face a Preliminary Final on the 19-20 September weekend against the last remaining team. (Which could be any of the other four teams depending on results)
The WAFL Grand Final is scheduled for the 27th of September at Domain Stadium and Subi are ready to roar into finals.
The Subiaco Football Club have opened ticket sales for the September 13 Semi Final Luncheon.

The club are offering a package which includes parking, buffet lunch, premium beverages, entertainment and a seat in the grand stand for only $65.
