SFC 2015: Round 15 Preview
Thursday, 02 July 2015
Subi will be looking to get their season back on the winning track as Peel Thunder visit Medibank Stadium on Saturday.
The Lions suffered a ten-point hiccup on their premiership quest against a gritty Falcons side at HBF Arena last week. The surprise loss iced an eight game winning streak and re-instilled mortality amongst the Subi playing group.
Peel now loom as a perfect chance for retaliation for the Lions with the Fremantle aligned WAFL side sitting at 7-5 whilst edging towards their debut finals appearance.
The Thunder comprehensively took care of Perth last week with their high-powered midfield running rings on the Demons.
The two sides met earlier in the season when Peel were positioned in second and Subiaco first. The Lions were undoubtedly stronger in the Round Eight clash to win by 60 points.
The game was won in the middle in Round Eight with Dave Madut providing one of his performances of the season. Despite injury concerns, the Lions will be confident they have the ability to take care of Peel on Saturday.
BOLAND THEM OVER
Subiaco forward Matt Boland made his return to league football last week and warmed into the game nicely. Boland comes as a timely addition to the forward line that has been shooting wayward over the last month. Boland can now operate out of the key forward position, freeing up players around him to do damage, Ala Shane Yarran.
