Subi ready for a Dog-fight

Subiaco and South Fremantle will write a new chapter into their heated history at Medibank Stadium this Saturday.
The modern day WAFL heavyweights tend to produce high intensity encounters with the Lions claiming five of the last seven.

Round Five looked headed for a thriller until Subi burst away in the second half, running out 89-point winners.
South Fremantle have built plenty of momentum since then however, winning the last two including a nail-biting Fremantle Derby over the Sharks.
The Bulldogs are third on the ladder with a record of 6-4 and boast one of the fastest team’s in the league.
The Lions are first on the ladder with a record of 8-1 and possess the most dominant defense in the WAFL, conceding an average of 60 points over their first nine.
Subiaco recruited heavily over the off-season and it’s paid massive dividends. Scott Hancock, Leigh Kitchin, Jordan Lockyer and Brett Robinson have all been key contributors and now the Lions possess another weapon.

After over-coming leg injuries for the first ten rounds ex-Docker Sam Menegola made his Lions debut against East Fremantle last week and he couldn’t have asked for a better start. Mena’s ran rampant collecting 35 disposals, four tackles, nine inside 50’s and two goals in a best on ground display.

We’re keen to see more of the “Rabbit” this weekend.
South Freo have established themselves as a dark horse of the WAFL competition in 2015. The Dogs possess a lightning quick, skilful squad that will try and spread Subi’s defensive press.

Ex-West Coast Ashton Hams has developed into a crucial player for the red and white’s as well as versatile midfielder Steven Verrier. If Hayden Scloithe also makes a return to the Dog squad this week the Lions will have their hands full around the clearances.
Subiaco are teaming up with Medibank, The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and PROST! to deliver Men’s Health Round at Medibank Stadium.
With Subi away for the official Men’s Health Round the club teamed up with their stadium partner and the PCA to offer a bunch of activities and promotions.

QBE Man Of The Match is available every WAFL round this year and the Subiaco Football Club are giving away signed guernseys every week. Check out for details.
