Three Subiaco footballers will be a part of AFL Combine testing this year in hopes of furthering their dreams of playing on the big stage.
Joshua Deluca, Adam Creeper and Shane Yarran have been nominated to attend Combine testing’s after emerging as rare talents for the Lions in 2014.
Joshua Deluca is a pacey midfielder who has starred with 6 league appearances this year. Deluca is a classy player who can also provide support in the forward line as seen with his forward presence against East Perth in Round 19.
Adam Creeper was a U18’S State Nationals representative alongside Deluca and impressed many with his height and athleticism. Creeper arguably had the best State Nationals out of all the Lions representatives with the coaches enjoying his versatility. The 18 year old is currently rehabbing from an ankle injury but will be raring to go come state testing.

Shane Yarran has been a wildcard for the Subiaco Lions this year after being recruited from South Mandurah in the Peel football league. Yarran has provided an electric spark for the Lions with excellent athleticism and the ability to kick crucial goals.
Yarran is unique because he is quick enough to play a small forward role whilst having the frame and height to be a key forward target as well. The 25 year old has kicked 31 goals from 16 games and provided a key role on the Lions return to finals football.
The three Subiaco hopefuls will be apart of testing from late September to October with Joshua Deluca attending the National Combine at Etihad Stadium after being nominated by over four AFL clubs.
Creeper and Yarran will be a part of the West Australian state testing after the AFL developed a new system asking AFL clubs to provide a list of 50 players they wanted to see at the combine.
The two Lions were a part of the list developed by the AFL and will participate in Western Australia’s October 12 testing in Perth.
