Long Way Home for Jacky
- Friday, 06 June 2014
Jarrhan Jacky will pull on a Subiaco jumper for the first time since being drafted from the club as an 18 year old in 2007.
Jacky was picked by Adelaide at number 30 and played three AFL games in 2008.
He returned to WA in 2011 and played 32 games over two seasons with Swan Districts before moving to Peel Thunder last season.
The 25 year old’s stint in Mandurah was short lived, after he tore his ACL in round 2 last season.
Tomorrow marks his return to the football field after undergoing a conventional knee reconstruction more than 12 months ago.
Jacky will bolster an already strong Lions reserves outfit that sits on top of the ladder with seven wins from their opening 9 games.
In the League Subiaco face top of the table Swan Districts.
Shaun Hildebrandt has been added to the squad of 25 as he looks to overcome an ankle injury that has seen him sidelined since round 7.
BOEKHORST ON FIRE
If Swan Districts were to be successful this season they needed a lot of middle tier players to stand up and youngster Blaine Boekhorst certainly has.
He played a key role for WA in its big win over NEAFL a fortnight ago and followed up with 27 disposals and 2 goals against Perth last week.
STOCK TAKES OUT AWARD
Frank Stockley's good form was recognised when he was awarded the Subiaco Golds' Player of the Month on Tuesday night. He'll lock horns with Swan Districts ruck man Nathan Blakely.
Subiaco will be out to avoid a third straight loss while Swans will be looking to win their ninth straight game.
