The Colts entered the second half of the season with a 7-4 record to stand at third on the ladder.
The team continued to flourish under Coach Steven Armstrong’s system with massive victories over Swan Districts and West Perth; followed by a crucial 29 point win against East Fremantle the week after.
Unfortunately Subiaco lost key players Max Walters and Cody Grace for the season after the Swan Districts clash and the depth of the squad began to be tested.
With introduction of a host of younger players, the Colts dropped consecutive games against Perth and East Fremantle in the following rounds to slide to fourth; but retained their fight.
Joshua Deluca and Joe Scafidi shone in this period for the Lions; playing key roles in an undermanned midfield and big men Jordan Bestry and Brodie Davis provided an important avenue to goal kicking 15 goals between them.
