The Subiaco District awarded two Life Memberships at their AGM on Monday night.
Both Kevin Hill and Wayne Morling were inducted as a result of their years of service.
Hill has been involved with the Subiaco District for 20 years, serving as the Little League Assistant from 1993 to 1997 and Manager from 1997 to present.
In addition to his years of service assisting with the Little League, Hill has coach at Ocean Ridge Junior Football Club and served as the District’s Modified coaching coordinator, providing leadership, mentoring and assistance to the District’s community coaches.
Morling has been the Subiaco District Chairman since 2006, providing leadership and direction for the DFDC. During his time as Chairman, participation growth within the District has increased significantly and the District has become involved in a number of community programs outside of football.
The most notable of these is the Community Engagement Program currently being run at Balga Senior High School, North Balga Primary School, East Kalgoorlie Primary School and South Kalgoorlie Primary School.
Prior to becoming Chairman, Wayne was involved with the Sorrento Duncraig Junior Football Club, where he is also a life member, was a previous President, Auskick coordinator, coach coordinator and team manager.
Cameron Douglas was also recognised at the AGM for his services to umpiring as he stood down from his position on the DFDC.
