Congratulations to our No.1 ticket holder Justin Langer on his appointment as the coach of the Western Warriors.
Langer was officially appointed to the position on Wednesday after almost a full week of heavy speculation he would replace the outgoing Lachlan Stevens as the coach.
Renowned for his passion for both Australia and Western Australia when representing each, Langer has long shared that passion for Subiaco Football Club.
The gritty left-handed opener has been the club’s No.1 ticket-holder since the 2002 season.
He is a part of a long line of Subiaco Football Club and cricket connections with our club Ambassador former Australian test captain Kim Hughes.
Our own CEO Peter Capes also played 40 first class matches for Western Australia in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
And you can’t forget Austin Robertson our all-time leading goal-kicker, who was integral as a player agent in setting up World Series Cricket in the 1970s.
