SUBIACO will be out extend Swan Districts’ three-game losing streak and take revenge for the their round 9 loss when they face the Black Ducks at Medibank Stadium on Saturday.
The Swans have lost their past three matches against East Fremantle, Claremont and West Perth, their last win came back in round 14 over East Perth.
The Lions last win also against the Royals back in round 15 before successive losses to Peel Thunder and South Fremantle after a bye.
Utility Rhett Kerr said while the season was over there remained plenty to play for.
“We’re all fairly disappointed with the way the past few weeks have gone and are ready to make amends,” he said.
“Our finals hopes are essentially over now so hopefully that takes a bit of pressure off a few boys and allows them to go back out and find some form and flow.
“We can jus play footy as opposed to having the pressure of finals hanging over our head and now just relax and enjoy a good performance.”
Subiaco looked to be in control of their last clash against Swans in round 9 before they let a two-goal three-quarter time lead slip.
Then exiled Docker Michael Walters sparked the fourth quarter revival.
“That was a game we really should have won and let it slip,” Kerr said of the round 9 match.
“There were a few of those games there earlier on we were in positions to win and let slip, so the challenge for the rest of the year is, if we find ourselves in the same position, to close the games out.
“We’ll be looking forward to putting in a good performance.”
