The weekends performance was much better than the previous week but we failed to get the result we wanted. We now face a tough challenge for the remainder of the season to play finals. We have Claremont in two weeks and fortunately we will have a healthier list to pick from and we will go into the game with confidence.
Buddy Pickett didn't have the impact we were looking for but he showed signs he is going to be a good player in the future. The news on Adam Cockie and Des Headland is that they will be 50/50 for the next game but some other players got some more game time in the reserves which was important. Scott Worthington played his first game in 6 weeks and looked good while Abe Davey will press for selection. A big challenge ahead but one we will not shy away from. Looking forward to seeing all our diehard supporters at our next game.

VIVA LAS VEGAS - GAMING FUNCTION
It is something that we have romanced about all season, the thought of the evergreen Allistair Pickett and his son Alliston creating history by being the first father son combination to play league football together at WAFL level. Well it’s going to happen this Saturday when Subiaco takes on South Fremantle in the Charlie Tyson “Big Boots” clash at Medibank Stadium.
The weekends game was probably the most disappointing effort for the year. We had a lot to play for and were extremely poor for the entire day. The players and coaches have addressed it at training and we understand that it was not acceptable and we won’t stand for it again. We now find ourselves in a play off situation for the rest of the year and that presents a great challenge for the playing group. Unfortunately there is not much joy with our injury list, Ben Randall should come back into the team, Jake Wooden and Andrew Scott played reserves after a few weeks out while Josh Watson also completed his first reserves match for 2 months. Adam Cockie is still scheduled for after the bye round along with Phil Read, Jason Bristow, Rob Forrest and Mark Re. Aside from our own injury list we are not sure about Antoni Grover and Des Headland as yet this week with regard to playing with us so we will wait and see. We are now facing teams who are chasing a spot in the four and South are one of them, this week will be a big game for both clubs and we hope to see all the Subiaco faithful on Saturday at Medibank Stadium.
